Employment-Based Immigration: Represents corporate clients in regards to nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions filed on behalf of foreign national employees. Advises corporate clients in matters of I-9 compliance and audits. Representative cases that Mr. Sheppard has filed on behalf of corporate clients include H 1B, TN, E, H 3, B 1, L 1, O and P visa classifications. Also represents corporate clients with green card processing for foreign national employees to include employment-based immigrant petitions, such as labor certifications, multinational executives/managers, extraordinary ability, outstanding researchers, and national interest waiver petitions.
Family-Based Immigration: Represents individual clients filing petitions for alien relatives with adjustment of status and consular process. Assists with waiver applications when applicable and fianc? visa petitions.
Removal Defense: Represents individual clients that have been issued a notice to appear before the Executive Officer for Immigration Review with presenting their case and filing for any available relief.
Naturalization/Citizenship: Represents individuals filing for naturalization or certificates of citizenship based on derivate citizenship claims.
Mr. Sheppard is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association which is an immigration bar with more than 11,000 members. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and participates in advocacy issues. He previously served as the Chair of the San Diego Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Associations and is currently a Liaison Chair with the local USCIS office.
