During her time as an undergrad, she was a reporter for the student newspaper, resident advisor, communication club officer, and Chairperson of the College of Liberal Arts Academic Advising Committee. She went on to study law at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. During law school Kristen was active in the Minnesota Justice Foundation and Mitchel Mentors. Prior to being admitted to practice law in Minnesota, Kristen learned about personal injury law while clerking with Fields Law Firm.
