About Michael

Michael Marconi is a trial and immigration lawyer with over 23 years of proven experience. Before launching his own firm, Michael achieved partner status at several noted firms including nationally acclaimed McKool Smith PC. Michael has successfully tried to verdict numerous commercial cases in both court and arbitration proceedings. During his more than 23 years of practice, Michael has managed some of the highest profile cases in the history of American jurisprudence including the Enron litigation where he was responsible for directing the day to day operations of the McKool Smith trial team and other professionals representing the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Enron Corporation. Notwithstanding his significant experience and success handling cases that would qualify as complex and "high stakes" by any measure, Michael is just as comfortable and passionate about trying more modest commercial and employment cases in an efficent and cost effective manner. Over his career, Michael has coordinated internal investigations on behalf of clients both with respect to compliance issues relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act as well as in connection with Department of Justice investigations into allegations of illegal price fixing. In addition, Michael has represented clients facing workplace citations before OSHA and has also appeared as counsel in proceedings before the Internal Revenue Service. Michael’s immigration practice covers a significant array of immigration services though his focus is primarily on family-based immigration solutions and citizenship. His interest in immigration law flows naturally from his extensive experiences living and traveling overseas as well as from his affinity for foreign languages and cultures. Michael lived abroad for sixteen years in Sweden, Italy and Spain and is fluent in both Spanish and Italian. In fact, Michael routinely conducts client intake interviews in Spanish and Italian. Michael has also studied both Russian and Mandarin Chinese.
