Ryan J. Gavin is a founding member of Kamykowski, Gavin & Smith, P.C. and has successfully represented clients in various types of civil litigation in federal and state courts in Missouri and Illinois. He has tried more than twenty cases to verdict including several cases involving multi-million dollar claims for damages. Ryan's practice focuses on significant personal injury and death cases as well as those alleging substantial business or economic losses. As a result of his successes and reputation, Ryan has been recognized as a Rising Star by Missouri Super Lawyers each of the last two years. Ryan's primary area of practice is the representation of physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers in medical negligence cases. In this capacity he has represented physicians of numerous specialties including internal medicine, pediatrics, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology, among others. Ryan has also represented several hospitals throughout the region in claims alleging direct negligence of hospital staff, vicarious liability for physician care, and negligent credentialing.
