About Scheherazade

Scheherazade ("Shazi") Rastegar is an attorney and mediator specializing in employment and family law. She is a Panel Mediator for the Los Angeles and Ventura Superior Courts ADR Programs and a Certified Mediator for the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office Dispute Resolution Program, the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Center for Civic Mediation, and the Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center. She obtained her B.A. and M.A. in International Relations at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and also studied abroad in Canada and Switzerland. Rastegar returned to the United States to earn her J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law, where she was awarded the Sacramento County Bar Association Fellowship. As a litigator, Ms. Rastegar has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in employment matters. Her practice areas include discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and invasion of privacy. Prior to founding MAC Services Group, Ms. Rastegar clerked and worked at Carlton, DiSante & Freudenberger LLP, Palmer Kazanjian Wohl Hodson LLP, and Alexander Krakow Glick LLP. Ms. Rastegar has served as a neutral for a wide variety of disputes, including, but not limited to: professional malpractice, employment, commercial, business/partnership, general litigation, family, real estate and property disputes. In 2012, Ms. Rastegar was awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Los Angeles, served as a panelist on mediation at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, and was recognized in The Mediator. Ms. Rastegar is also actively involved in the mediation community, and was recently elected to the Board of the Southern California Mediation Association.
